Team coaching

A group of capable people.
A team that can really work together.

Create a more intentional way for your team to listen, challenge, decide and act together.

For the collectiveThe team’s real work is where we begin.

Start with the real work

What happens between people shapes what a team can do.

When conversations stay polite, responsibilities feel blurred, or different priorities pull people apart, another action plan may leave the underlying pattern untouched.

Team coaching creates a shared space to examine how the team works and practise a different way forward.

Does your team recognise any of these?

Conversation

The same issue returns to the agenda.

Meaning

Everyone agrees, but means something different.

Ownership

Decisions get revisited after the meeting.

Trust

People hold back what they really think.

A working partnership with the whole team

The team is part of the design.

We agree what the team needs and work on its actual challenges, relationships and habits.

Understand

Listen to the system.

Explore the team’s context, the sponsor’s hopes and the patterns people notice.

Work together

Make the conversation useful.

Create space to surface perspectives and practise clearer ways of listening, challenging and deciding.

Carry it forward

Turn insight into a team habit.

Agree what the team will try, who owns it, and how you will reflect on what happens.

Trust grows through the work.

The engagement can include team conversations, facilitated sessions, reflection and follow-through. Scope and confidentiality are agreed with the team and sponsor.

A shared focus for progress

Make the team’s agreements visible.

Shared purpose

Build a clearer understanding of what the team exists to achieve.

Better conversations

Explore how the team listens, challenges, and handles disagreement.

Collective ownership

Clarify expectations, responsibilities, and the agreements you work by.

Sustainable habits

Translate insight into shared actions the team can practise and review.

Before we begin

Questions about team coaching.

Clear expectations make a useful foundation.

Is this the same as a team-building day?
Team coaching focuses on the team’s real work, relationships, and patterns over an agreed journey. A facilitated workshop can form part of that work.
Can individual coaching be included?
Where useful, individual leader coaching can complement the team engagement. Roles, confidentiality, and information sharing are agreed in advance.
How do you involve the team sponsor?
The team and sponsor agree the purpose, ways of working, and review points. We clarify what can be shared so the team has a clear foundation for open conversation.
